Travel Guard Single-Trip Emergency Medical Plan
The Emergency Medical Plan provides coverage for medical emergencies and injuries while travelling outside of your home province. The emergency medical coverage is unlimited up to age 54 and up to $10 million over age 55.
This plan provides coverage for hospitalization, emergency evacuation, emergency dental, bedside companions, return of remains, and more.
Travellers over the age of 55 need to complete a medical questionnaire.
Travel Guard Annual (Multi-Trip) Emergency Medical Plan
The Annual Emergency Medical Plan provides emergency medical coverage for multiple trips within 365 days. The coverage amount is unlimited for travellers under the age of 55, and for 55+, the coverage is $10 million.
The maximum number of days per trip depends on the plan. You can choose a 9-day, 16-day, 30-day or 60-day annual plan. Coverage includes emergency medical expenses, emergency dental, bedside companions, hospital expenses, and more.

Travel Guard All-Inclusive Package Plan
The All-Inclusive Package provides emergency medical coverage plus non-medical benefits. The emergency medical coverage is unlimited for up to age 59 and $10 million for ages 60+.
The package includes emergency medical coverage, emergency evacuation and repatriation, emergency dental, trip cancellation, lost or damaged baggage, Bag Trak™ and trip interruption and trip delay. It also includes coverage for flight and travel accidents.
You also have the option to upgrade to the Expanded Benefits Upgrade, which increases multiple benefits within the package. You can add a Cancel For Any Reason or Cruise and Tour Protector additional coverage.
Travel Guard Trip Cancellation & Interruption Package Plan
The Trip Cancellation & Interruption Plan is a non-medical plan offering coverage if a trip needs to be cancelled, interrupted, or if luggage goes missing. There are two variants: the Gold Deluxe Trip Cancellation & Interruption Package and the Silver Deluxe Trip Cancellation & Interruption Package.
On both plans, the trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage is 100% of the trip cost. Both policy variants also cover trip delay, missed connections, flight accidents, travel accidents and baggage loss and delay, but the gold policy has higher maximum limits.
You can opt to purchase additional Cruise and Tour Protector coverage on both plans. You can also purchase an Expanded Benefits Upgrade, Golf Protector Coverage, Ski Protector Coverage, Business Protector Coverage, and Collision Damage Waiver Coverage on the silver plan.

Tips for Saving with Travel Guard Travel Insurance
Travel Guard offers family rates to families when the oldest member is under age 55. The premium is based on the two oldest travellers. Family rates are available on the single-trip or annual (multi-trip) plans.
Travel Guard Refunds
Refunds are available prior to the departure date on the Single-Trip Emergency Medical, All-Inclusive and Trip Cancellation and Interruption Plan as long as no claim has been paid, incurred, or reported. Refunds must be requested through the broker, company, or agency you originally purchased the policy from.
You cannot request a refund after the 10 Day Right to Examine period on annual policies.

- Travel Guard insurance is underwritten by AIG Insurance Company of Canada (AIG Canada).
- You must notify Travel Guard before seeking medical attention. If you do not contact Travel Guard, you’ll be responsible for 30% of any eligible expenses that you incur unless your medical condition prevents you from calling. You must call Travel Guard as soon as medically possible or have someone call on your behalf.
- Family rates are offered on the single-trip and multi-trip emergency medical plan with a minimum of one adult and a maximum of five dependents.
